Nationaalarbeids secretariaat
(NAS; NATIONALLA BOR SECRETARIAT)
   Trade union federation founded in 1893. Famous NAS leaders include Christiaan Cornelissen and Henk Sneevliet. The direction was syndicalist at first and later Trotskyist. The number of members was quite limited in comparison with the so cialistand religious-oriented trade unions. The NAS was liquidated in 1940 by the Nazi occupation authorities during World WarII.
